We bought this to replace an expensive wooden hopper feeder that was quite poorly designed. With this new feeder, the feed flows down just as you would expect, the construction is superior and the materials long-lasting. The bottom, made of perforated metal, sits high enough to allow drainage underneath the feeder. Brilliant!

We mounted this on a platform instead of hanging it. The birds love it. I particularly like how there is clear plastic all around so you can see everything.
